I have long searched a really compact case to contain my SD cards, unfortunately, every model on Ebay , or Dealextreme and so on were nothing but chunky plastic bloated mess,

But that was before!

The first step towards this discovery was the frustration of witnessing all those models that are nothing but business-card holders converted into SD holders… their advantage is being thin and light thanks to their aluminium material, however those cases are so large proportionally to the containned SDcards that it’d be a shame to use them …

But one day, Ebay answered to my prayers!

And here is the case compared to the business-card-holder conversion …

the difference should be obvious: all this wasted space in the black version gives me vertigo !

the smaller box having the good idea to store cards on each side of the hinge, it’s higher, denser, and therefore less prone to bending in case of accidents, it’s height remains negligible enough to make itself unnoticeable in any pocket
nowadays, double-height holders the size of that black one are available on Ebay too, but they therefore have twice more wasted space, meh .

The tiny clip holds the case well shut, with a satisfying “click” upon closing, we may notice that the hinge is much more reassuring than the other model…

If i had to find any downside to this little case, i’d say that the black foam might not be the most effective way to hold cards, especially in the eventuality that they would be in front of an empty slot, but this also allows the user to not require good nails to take them out.

i’ve been using this case for several month already, and it moved around my camera holster without any issue ever since, this is simply the case i wanted.

….. but for an unknown reason, the hardest to find!
It turns out that i simply couldn’t find it again on Ebay when writing this article, while the modified business-card holders are everywhere, too bad, really too bad, but being extremely cheap, i had the good idea to buy a couple of those 🙂
